What is my Board of Advisors
Your board of advisors is your team of professionals who can help manage your money and make financial decisions.
Connecting with your Board of Advisors in Pocket Plan allows you to collaborate with each of them individually or collectively.
You can share a scenario with a single professional, like your Financial Planner, if you have a question like “What if I retire early?”. You can also share scenarios with multiple advisors when decisions will have impacts on several areas like investment, taxes and your estate. Using Advisors to Make Better Financial Decisions
Advisors are an invaluable resource when it comes to making better financial decisions. Advisors have access to your financial information through Pocket Plan, which can help them quickly understand your financial situation and provide you with solutions tailored to your needs. Your advisor also has access to a Quick Report which provides a benchmark of your financial health. This report includes information about your cash on hand, assets, liabilities, and budget. Advisors can also provide you with advice on how to best utilize your accounts and resources based on your engagement with them. By leveraging the knowledge and expertise of an advisor, you can make more informed financial decisions and take greater control of your financial future.
Connecting with an Advisor
How to Connect with an Advisor
If you are looking to connect with an advisor, you can do so safely by using Pocket Plan. To begin, you will need to connect with an advisor with a professional profile. This will include the advisor’s contact information, registration information, and any social media information. Once you find an advisor you like, you can connect with them by sending a request. The request creates a link that allows you to provide your financial information to the advisor. This includes any accounts you have added to Pocket Plan, delivered as the same financial reports which you can access.
The advisor will only have view-only access, which means that they will not see your login information, passwords, or financial account numbers. They will only see the information you provide through Pocket Plan.
If you would like to disconnect your Pocket Plan from the advisor, you can do so by signing into your account and going to your Advisor Connections. From there, you can delete the advisor from the connection.
Data Sharing & Privacy
Your privacy is a priority as a Pocket Plan user. That’s why data sharing with a Pocket Plan advisor is secure and organized. All that an advisor has access to is the information that is provided through the Pocket Plan connection. This includes assets, liabilities, cash on hand, and a budget. An advisor is only able to view this information and does not have access to any of the login information, financial account numbers, or passwords.
Removing an Advisor
If you decide that you prefer that an advisor no longer can view your Pocket Plan you can disconnect with them from your Board of Advisors, Advisor Profile or Connections. Once you’ve disconnected from an advisor they’ll no longer have access to view your Pocket Plan or to collaborate on Scenarios. In order to perform any of these activities, you’ll need to send an advisor request and wait for the advisor’s acceptance.
